I mean that the 910 was only justified by the addition of TTS (Text To Speech) and a large Hard Disk for storage. The 720 has TTS and its memory can be expanded by the use of large SD cards. Anyone wanting a 910 replacement need only buy a 720, a large SD card and the US map?

I see what you are saying. This idea is fine as long as the difference in price (buying the SD card and maps) is no more than £50. Becasue at the moment, £50 is the only difference between buying say a 710 and 910. At the moment, if you own a 710, you can buy the US and Canada maps for £80 (and that is with a 20% discount) plus extra if you need extra memory etc. So it's more cost effective to buy a 910 right now.

What's the price of a 720?

Ah a good point but once the x10's are superceded it will matter little as there will be no other option than to buy a 720 and add the map/memory if you wish US coverage.

Confirmed pricing for the x20's is not yet available.

Does anyone know what Eastern European map coverage will be like (if any) on the x20 range? For example, the Mio C520 will have 63% coverage of Poland where I am going in this September. Last time I checked the TomTom x10 range only had 26% coverage of Poland.

You might want to download the MultiNet All Europe- 2007.04 product info sheets from TeleAtlas. There's a PDF file specifically for Poland and they get into the specifics. I believe the x20's will have the 2007.04 maps. Here's a link- http://www.teleatlas.com/stellent/groups/public/documents/content/ta_ct012379.zip
