|
|
Hi
I support 10 users of Tomtom in various guises, so am no stranger to some of the finer points!!
I have one user with set up as above title and using TT6. The set up has been returned to me as "not working" after an in service life of 3-4 months.
TT6 seems to be convinced that the XDA is in flight mode, although clearly its not. I have re-installed the TT6 software, deleted and repaired the BT pairing but still cannot get the units talking.
BT on XDA discovers other devices okay.
Any ideas?
Thanks |

Thanks Alix
The XDA doesn't have a sim card in either, very strange, even a reinstall of TT6 doesn't fix it.
Anyone had this experience and successfully corrected it????

This might sound daft but ..........
without a SIM card in, the XDA effectively IS in flight mode because it has no signal

yuo can turn the phone on and leave a sim card out of the device but for some reason if you turn the phone off then tt thinks the bt is off even if it isnt _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

Oh, I see
If I turn my phone off it turns off the BT as well, but I can then reinstate the BT from Comm Manager even though the phone is off. But then when I start TT6 it says no GPS device (Flight Mode)
I stand corrected

I just tried a soft reset and didn't enable the phone on my Exec, and TT6 fired up OK
Maybe the IIi is slightly different, I have got one but but it would mean reinstalling etc.
I don't know if I've proved anything really!

Gentlemen
Many thanks, it would appear to work with a SIM card in.
This is very strange, the unit has been in use for a good while now without a SIM and without any problems.
Thanks to all anyway :D |
