|
|
I've just read here there were problems with the old rds tmc reciever. Is there a newer version of this tmc receiver coming out soon?
Hopefully it should fix some of the glitches. Would be brilliant to get live traffic updates on a 910!
Thanks |

We are still waiting for the release of the revised RDS-TMC, TomTom did say 2007 Q2 for the date so it shouldn't be too long - Mike |

Didn't they say 2006 Q2 for the maps which came out on 28th November 2006?
psykik how many threads have you got on the subject of 910s and RDS-TMC? I know it's good to cover all angles, but 8 that I've noticed really is getting a bit confusing! _________________ Dennis

I had honestly thought with shades like mine you'd miss some of these postings that mention 910s and TMC, Mike. Some hope!
Anyway, last night, just for giggles, I tried for the first time activating the TT Traffic free month trial on my GO700 and it has worked without doing any fancy stuff. Not bad considering I bought the 700 a year ago!! I'll compare it with Radio 5 live for a bit to see if it's improved since I tried the free month last December with the GO710. _________________ Dennis

Dennis, yeah a little while ago got a rush of enthusiasm, felt like a little kid with a new toy, just wanted to find out everything i possibly could about a tmc reciever and 910 combo. By using the info from these forums and the kind assistance of yourself and others i have:
1) got a cracking deal on a new 910.
2) Understood how to get a free map update
3) Didnt waste money on the rmc receiver as the forums brought up too many instances of it not working.
4) Will sign up for traffic updates on the forum rarther than with tomtom.
for 8 threads worth its a great result! Thanks to all.
Best Wishes! |

Take me out the back and give me a good kicking if I'm being over pessimistic, but one poster saying he's got the 'new' receiver, but can't get at it for a few days - just one poster!
Smells like bull poo, but I'll be the first to apologise if proof the the redesigned receiver being received is provided. |

Upload you picture to a web host such as Image Shack then simply copy and paste the first link for the "Hotlink for forum 1" text into your post on PGPSW (this is the first line of code under the picture you have posted on the site - don't use the Thumbnail images), then use the preview button to make sure the picture displays correctly - Mike |

If you do this with an enormous picture (my super expensive Digital SLR camera does zillions of Megapixels), the forum thread on my computer widens beyond my screen width, which I absolutely hate. Nowadays I use Photoshop Elements to reduce the size of my image to something like 400 pixels wide (with the resizing bits "constrained" to retain proportions). _________________ Dennis
