DOPOD U1000 PDA with in-built GPS

Can anyone help me with some suggestions regarding the best GPS Software to use on a Dopod (Athe100) PDA. It has an inbuilt SiRF Star lll antenna/chip.
I have travelled quite extensively through the Asia region without the aid of GPS and thought it would be nice to have when I head off to Australia and then back home to NZ. Next year I want to travel to Europe, and a good GPS will be a real help.
Appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Hello,

You are best getting different software for Europe and NZ as there isn't really anyone who does maps for both countries.

TomTom is probably best for Europe as you can also get maps of Australia with TomTom as well.

When you are back in NZ then Navman will be the way to go if you really need sat nav there.

Thats pretty much what I expected to hear. I have been looking at TomTom NAVIGATOR 6 online and thought it was going to be the way to go.
You didn't say that it would work on my Dopod but then, you didn't say it wouldn't either, so, I will buy it and see what happens.

Hello,

TomTom don't list the Dopod U1000 on their compatibility list here but the Advantage X7500 is listed and the UK version of this actually comes with the TomTom application installed so TomTom should run without any problems on your Dopod.
