|
|
Hi,
I created a map of the UK & Ireland for use in EasyGPS using data from nearby.org.uk (Mr.Barry Hunter). My Garmin I3 favourites which I backedup now show on the map. The map only has upto County boundaries so it isn't too detailed but useful to see the favourite on a UK map than on a blank screen. This file I created in itself is about 2MB. I don't know if anyone would be interested..

download it from here:
http://MaFt.co.uk/garmin/UK_Ireland.zip
unzip it then either drag and drop into easyGPSor click on 'open', locate the file and the map should show up.

Sorry if this is a daft question!
I've followed MaFt's instructions and can open prasadm's map in EasyGPS, and my Favourites in another window, but how do I combine the two to make them appear on the map? _________________ Anita

What I did was do a select all from your favourites window, then click on the map window and paste them. |

It was, wasn't it!
Thanks Lester, that worked fine - of course.
And thanks prasadm for sharing. :D _________________ Anita

It's a .gpx file which you open from EasyGPS itself.
This will load a map of UK into EasyGPS - showing outlines of counties. Then open your list of waypoints in EasyGPS - these show in a separate tab. Select the ones you want to look at on the map, copy them and paste them back into the map tab - they then display on the map.
Don't save the map on closing - unless you want your latest waypoints to be saved on the map also. _________________ Phil |

Just a quick thought.
The UK map for EasyGPS only has detail of county boundaries and is useful for looking a the relative position of a number of waypoints.
POI Edit (www.poiedit.com) gives you the ability to have waypoints displayed on either MapPoint (if you have it installed) or Google Maps - which shows roads etc. You can use custom maps as well if you prefer. _________________ Phil |

Did that but still 'no show' in EasyGPS although it shows it on the top _________________ Ian Dee,
