I can't make a backup of the default HDD as there is a corrupt .jpg, it's one of the american satellite images.
So, does anyone know how to stop this file from re-creating itself after deletion, or can some one tell me where I can get a clean backup?
Thankyou all,
Deus. |

It won't recreate itself. It's not used for navigation. _________________ Richard

I can safely say Oldboy, with hand on heart, after several deletions of the file, it does keep coming back.
Because it's corrupt, the back keeps crapping out and stops at 3 minutes remaining. |

Instead of a "backup" can you use Win Explorer to make a copy?
Also, a jpg file re-creating itself sounds a bit odd. Have you virus/spyware etc checked? _________________ RQ

my first thought too, yes, and yes I was infected.
I've since been able to run a complete backup. |
