The Plus map has the major roads of Europe included - never really saw the point in it as it's the navigating in and around towns or on the back roads where you are really likely to get lost as the main routes are generally very well signposted.
I guess it does allow you to buy a separate country and allow you to do psuedo routing door to door. At least you could get into the country (e.g. France) then swap maps at a convenient journey stop and get the detailed directions to your destination - but MOWE (full Western Europe) was never that much more in price and allowed proper door-to-door routing.
There's a pointer to a matrix showing what works with what in the sticky area of this forum. _________________ Phil |

As you already have the GB and GB plus maps it would, as philpugh says, be better to purchase Western European maps.
If on the other hand you will only ever travel to one other country, say France, then it is slightly cheaper to purchase the France plus map.
All you'll need for cross country routing is the GB map and the France plus map.
Before setting off select the France plus map and set a destination. You'll be guided over the major roads in GB and on entering France you will have street level.
Similar if the only country you will travel to is Italy, purchase the Italy plus map. Select the Italy plus map, set destination and you'll be guided over the major roads of Europe to the Italian border where you will have street level.
Having said all that, it probably would be best to get the Western Europe maps, just in case you need them at a later date. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
