I'd be very grateful if someone could help with this as I'm just about tearing my hair out....
Some months ago my built-in camera database stopped working. I have the current software version (6.525) and am aware that they have been changed from a POI overlay to the "Plus" system, but everything I tried to get them back didn't work. The Tom Tom support desk couldn't help either. The files are physically present on the unit, but don't display.
I just subscribed to the PGPSW version and downloaded the individual type/speed POI databases. They have copied across to the 910 okay and are visible in the file list in Windows Explorer, but none of the Gatso ones appear in the list of available POI's. I've tried disabling and deleting some of the other POI categories in case I had too many (unlikely), but this hasn't helped.
I'm beginning to suspect that I have a faulty unit, but as its just out of guarantee I'm stuffed. Can anyone suggest anything else I could try short of hurling it out of a window?
Many thanks

If you have other POIs which do display, then try checking the number you've got - in Windows Explorer count the number of .ov2 files in the map folder. _________________ Dennis

Sorry to double up, but I've read elsewhere that TTGO is guaranteed for TWO years, so yours can't possibly be out of guarantee. _________________ Dennis

Many thanks Dennis on both counts. I thought I couldn't possible have more than 100 POI categories, but when I checked......
So I deleted some of the less useful ones and hey presto the Gatsos sprang into life.
I also didn't realise that the guarantee was 2 years!!

Well, there you go - I'm not a POI person myself, apart from the full camera set, I only have about 3 or 4 others. It helps me to feel superior when all you who have loadsa them get in trouble! Just in passing, do you know you can combine some POIs? For example if you had downloaded separate downloads of all the ATMs, you'd have a lot of POIs, but it's possible to join them all together into one POI - you get the ID when you click on the individual POI, but on screen when passing, they'll only show up as anonymous ATMs. Same goes for Petrol stations and Supermarkets, etc, etc. Hark at me advising on POIs!! - what a cheek, I only downloaded my two favourite supermarkets, Travelodges and BT Openzone WIFI hotspots, so I'm no expert. _________________ Dennis
