|
|
If I backup my TomTom ONE by copying the contents of the SD card (including hidden files and folders), am I actually backing up EVERYTHING on the unit?
Or does the unit have a ROM or something similar where the application is installed?
Would I be safer backing it up using the option in TomTom HOME, or does that achieve exactly the same thing as copying the contents of the SD card manually?
Cheers! |

OK, thanks. The only reason I ask is that, with a PDA, you tend to have most stuff on the SD card, but the application installed to the unit. So I just wondered if the TomTom ONE works in a similar way?
Having said that, there are a lot more files and folders on the ONE's SD card than I had on my old PDA, so I guess the application itself could be fully installed on the SD card too. |

This is why it takes a little longer to start, after a Reset, due to rebooting the program from the SD Card. _________________ Richard

Thanks for that Oldboy! I guess this is what happens after you take out and re-insert the SD card too? It comes up with the TomTom splash screen and takes quite a bit longer to load after you first re-insert the card. |
