Hi,
My wife's ONE has arrived and I'd like to maintain it on my version of HOME which already has my GO510 setup. Can I add another device running from the same version of HOME? Will it create a separate area on my hard drive in which to store her downloads, backups and upgrades?
I know from experience that she won't keep it up to date or back it up so I'd really like to get this going if I could.
Many thanks

You will need to create another account with TomTom using a different email address. As you connect each device in turn you will need to select Change Device which will be needed if you connect to TT for PLUS Services.
I never use HOME to do Backups. I much prefer to do it with Explorer as I have more control over it. _________________ Richard

Many thanks for getting back to me so quickly Richard.
OK, I'll set up a second account and switch devices as you suggest.
Many thanks for the swift reply. |

Is it Change Device or should it be log out, and then log back in again with the different credentials. I thought change device was the once in 6 months only thing. |

On TTs Site the Change Device within 6months doesn't happen, if you register each Device to a different email address. _________________ Richard

Yeah that's what I'm talking about "from within Home". It's not something i've used personally, but the way i understand it is, if you have created a separate home account with its own email address, then to swap between accounts (hence devices) you have to log out of one account, and then log back into the other. The change device option in Home literally means to swap the device associated with the plus account you are currently signed in with and the old device you are replacing will no longer be accessable, or a least that's how i understand it anyway. |

Hmmm . . . . interesting debate. Hopefully I can confirm it before the weekend.
Thanks for your comments |
