I have the "original" TomTom SD card with my v2 TomTom One.
I've got the new maps & I don't think they'll fit on this card.
Any advice for the best place to get a new one for a decent (low) price?
Was going to get one off eBay but having read the FAQ's I'm a bit wary. |

Cheers Richard.
When I get one, what's the easiest way of installing the new maps on the new card?
Am I best using the old card as an emergency back up & just using the new one?
Thanks! |

For me, the easiest way is to use Explorer to Copy the complete, original SD Card. Make sure you have Hidden Files Shown.
Put the original in a safe place. Then Copy/Paste the PC Copy back to the new SD Card. _________________ Richard

Richard,
I don't think I can do that mate as the old card won't fit the new version maps on so I won't have a "complete" card to transfer from. |

What I think he means is:
1. Copy your entire old card to the new one
2. Check it works!
3. Only then, delete the old map folder on the COPY
4. Install the new map folder onto the copy (using Home)
5. Check it works, then do a NEW backup by copy and pasting everything from the card to your PC. |

Thanks Andy.
I didn't explain myself very clearly.
I obviously couldn't multi-task at that time. ;) _________________ Richard
