Hi to all
I have one of the first tom toms it has an old version of software that does not support the speed cams. is there a way of putting the cam files on or do I have to update the software in someway.
Many Thanks

TomTom has always supported the use of OV2 Files as Custom POIs.
You should be able to use the Database.
You say you have an old TomTom GO. Do you mean the Classic GO?
If so the camera database will certainly work on it.
If you still have the original software, it will work with that also. The only drawback is that the OGG method of Warnings only work with V5 and V6. _________________ Richard

Thank you for the reply, the tom tom I have is one of the first one, silver fronted and a small sd card. I have tried the ov2 and also the home files . they are on the card but the tom tom does not see them. I have added the other voices and they work. the cams however don't I can't recall the software version but I know it is an early one could be 3.00
I also have a xda2 and have no problems with that I can put anything on that and it works. I lend the original tom tom to my mother as she is a regular schumacher (not bad for 70 something)

The original GO, with the V4 software had a very small limit for Custom POIs. It can easily be exceeded.
Why not upgrade to one of the V5 software versions. This would give you 39 POI sets, and would work with the older 3xx Map. You would then be able to use OGG Files for Spoken Alerts. ;) _________________ Richard

I have a copy of v5 but it is the navigator and I understand this does not work on the go type models. where is the best place to get the upgrade?
