I just bought this vent mount and the tomtom bracket fits on the vent mount 90 degrees out ,,,has anyone else got one of these and what am I doing wrong...the vent holder and the tomtom bracket are identical to the photo but they just dont fit togehter properly ..help.. link..

Holy crap. That sure looks like a bad design. The only thing that would help would be a swivel adapter but that would add to the thickness of the holder considerably. I don't think they were expecting someone to put the device onto a vent mount. _________________ Lutz

the one i got has hr (herbet richter?) on the back and is made in germany ...the back part is fine its the front part that doesnt seem right ..its 90 degrees out.....i just dont understand why???/ |

Perhaps it is intended to be used with a vehicle fitted with vertical slatted air vents, it does appear a strange set up though.
I would contact the vendor and arrange for it to be returned if I were you, whilst you are at it explain the problem as it might prevent others from being put in the same situation. - Mike |

are you smartbinman then?? what question on ebay? You have bought the same mount as me from save4.com ...can you see what I mean ?? I have bolted my v2 mount on to the vent clip part now and it is ok but I have to leave it in the motor....if it gets broken into its my fault i know but waddya doo??? |
