Hi all
I have the H1940(US) with sd card(512MB) and tomtom navigator 2 with the latest software and updates.
i have 2 maps installed one is for Austria (where i live) and one for italy ,
when i try to look for something on the Austria map , all is fine and working perfect but when i try to switch maps to italy , the screen comes and disappears immediately and the navigator exits without any error message and i still can see the bluetooth GPS sign on lower right of the screen , why the navigator does not change to italy map and exits?
thanks

That sounds like the Italy map data is corrupted. Can you re-install the Italy mapset and see if the problem is resolved? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Quite a few people have been having this problem lately, myself included. The only way I fixed it was to ditch the two Sandisk SD cards and replace with another manufacturer (Panasonic). Works fine now! |

It's almost certainly the SD Card. You could run SoftWinters's Storage Tools utility on the SD card (available in our download area), and defragment the card. Ideally though I would format it and thn re-install the maps.
This may reduce your problems but they won't go away, only solution is a different make of SD card, avoid Sandisk at all costs _________________ Darren Griffin |

As long is is is not Sandisk and does not have 'Made in China' on it's reverse you should be OK with most others. _________________ Darren Griffin |
