Nuvi 660 or 660T

What is the difference between the 660 and the 660T? Has anyone else had a whisper that the Nuvi 660/660T will be updated within the next couple of weeks?

I would hazard a guess that the T stands for Traffic - i.e. it includes a GTM21.

My 660 came with one - but it wasn't advertised as a 660T though as I recall Confused

There will always be rumours of new / improved products. Laughing

That's how marketing works. Best clue would be a sudden drop in the retail price as suppliers try to reduce stocks.

The only thing I'm aware of is that there is a new model, 660FM due soon (if not already available), which takes the 660(T) and adds the FM transmitter, which has not been available in Europe until now. Whether this will be sold as a separate unit, or will just replace stocks of the old unit when they run out I'm not sure.

I've also never heard of the 660T - there are 2 6x0 models in the UK, the 610T and the 660 - it maybe that a reseller has labelled both with the T, but Garmin list them as 610T and 660.

660T = 3 months trafficmaster subscription

660 = lifetime trafficmaster subscription

Not sure why anyone would buy the 660T since the price is the same as the 660

Can you let me know where you got that information from? I do sometimes wonder how many resellers are importing European stock (which might well only have a 3 month UK subscription, in the same way the UK stock only has a 3 month French subscription...)
