Have a look at http://www.willow-house.co.uk/
It is suitable for the TT. _________________ Richard

I've been told by a driver at UB in ashby that there is a link or direct download available from TOMTOM. I'll be damned if I can find it.
http://www.lowbridges.com/description.htm this appears to be the nearest I can find. |

I've just looked at acegames and lowbridges. The former is definitely just a copy of the files from willow-house, the latter look like a copy, but I'm not going to pay a tenner to find out. I'm very disapointed there was no acknowledgement of this on either site, but what the ... I probably won't post my updates now!!! _________________ XL Series-30 Western Europe

I have Autotrail Cheynne motorhome (nearly 11 foot high)and have bought low bridge warning poi from http://www.tomtompoi.net/ .
The warning can be given twice and if you are handy with OGG audio file generation you can record your own warnings. Works well but have found some bridges near me missing. Files are broken down into bridge heights,
ie: 16-20 feet 12-16 etc. As with all things updates are issued.
Bit late in replying but hope this helps.

I wonder where they got their data from I know they were selling data obtained from our website last year until we threatened them. Perhaps Robin might like to compare the data you bought with his? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi all
http://www.tomtompoi.net/ have now changed their name to http://www.hgvsolutions.com.
They are now selling all sorts of poi databases. They have obviously been VERY busy driving around the country collecting the co-ordinates of everything they can !!
Whilst at the Bike show last week was talking to a guy on Garmins stand who said that 'Truck' vehicle type accuracy was being improved. When asked if it would be within a year he said that he hoped so & went on to suggest that I would also want to upgrade to the 2008 maps.
Today I read in an article in 'Motor Transport' that as from next year Navteq maps would have bridge heights & weight limits, covering the whole country.
So sounds like the next mapping version might just be worth buying !!
