The reason why i ask is that this website states there's a version for tomtom one but its a bit weird looking.
I just wondered if any one could explain what they mean? |

Something to do with it displaying sideways on the screen due to an insurmountable hardware difference. There are some "sideways" icons you can download to make it look better. (I've no direct experience, just what I have read on here...) |

I haven't heard of the 'sideways' issue and it certainly isn't a problem on my V2. |

From the POI capture install page:
Quote: | A slighty deranged version is available for TomTom One. |
From the POI CApture forum:

As I said, only going by what I'd read.... |

Isn't it all on the installation instructions page? |

it is, but I think I've followed the instructions to the letter and it just won't work ??
the version that I downloaded, doesn't seem to have al the files referred to in the instructions and when the application startd, the "One" just hangs at a blue "starting poi capture" screen??
any thoughts??

TT has altered the SDK so that there is a problem with the ONE running with V6.56 _________________ Richard

mrgrimsby,
SDK is the software development kit.
If you're using it and it's ok, would you mind telling me which version you downloaded and where you've put all the files/folders on the tomtom??
Are you running it on a tomtom Onev2 with app 6.56 ??
cheers

I can confirm that i am using tomtom one v2 (6.56) I am a technophobe but I remember putting the files into the map folder ...I just followed the instructions here http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras-tomtom-ov2.php
To the word and it worked...i added liz whitackers voice aswell but I have forgotten how I did that,,, I am sure someone will place a link here for the instructions.....The admin guys here are very very helpful so you will get sorted I hope.

mrgrimsby,
I think we've got confused along the way !!
There is no problem using the pocketgpsworld speed camera database - it works brilliantly with the tomtom.
What we're talking about is the poicapture application which allows you to actually capture camera locations and store them on your device for later uploading to the pocketgpsworld database.
Sorry for any confusion
