Hi I am finding this difficult to put some programs on to my tom tom v2
I have put the wrong program on to my tom tom, so I want to restore it back to where I was, but when I try it says restoring but will sit like that for 24 hours with nothing happening.
Have I now lost everything?
Please could you give your answer in lemans terms so I cam understand what to do.
Thanks

Ok I have now got my v2 back to where I started.
All I want is when I come up to a speed camera instead of a small camera icon it tells me what speed and type of camera it is.
I don’t know if this helps
I was talking to a chap who had this facility and he e-mailed me the files for voices on his machine on the menu it showed a photo of who the voice belongs to, on my machine it dose not. |

You will not need a picture of the voice for the spoken alerts, the pictures corespond to a different voice which is used for the navigation audio.
Please start by having a read through This Page which details the ogg audio methods which is want you need for spoken camera warnings.
You cannot do the above when using TomTom Speed Cameras, but it does work with the database supplied by this site, why not pop along to Sandown Park where one us can set this up for you? - I appreciate you might not be local though - Mike |

i think i must have tom tom speed cameras
Where do I get the speed cameras from this site and should I delete the tom tom sped cameras first before download?
p.s thanks for the quick response
p.p.s I thank you for your offer for set up but I think Sandown is a bit far to travel for me I will keep asking questions if that is ok with you. |

You will need to be a subscribed member of the site in order to access the download area where the Speed Camera database is located, this costs £2 per month or £19 per year -
You can either leave the TomTom speed cameras on the device or remove them, its best to remove them to avoid double warnings and confusion - Mike |

Stevie Please have a read through one or two of the FAQ Guides on This Page, it explains how to install, but if you can supply more information as to what you have done, or how far you have got I can assist with more specific information - Mike |

1. Ok so I downloaded files
2. checked that I now have gps world speed cameras
3. started up tom tom one v2 great Britain app Number 6.560
4. set destination
5. view route and run to check cameras
6. cameras are detected but only shows icon of a camera and a horn sound.(not bothered about only having horn sound just want the icon)
What I am looking for is the symbols for 30/40/50 /red light etc
Also out of interest when I look at tom tom home I do have the pictures of the people for the voices
So you can pick out the voice you want.
But on the machine you do not have pictures just the words special 24 special 24 etc.
Don’t know if this is linked in any way having not activated something somewhere. |

For the camera warnings to include the actual speed and type of camera you need to download and install the Speed Zoned database. For spoken alerts to go with these files you need to add ogg files that correspond to the POI file names read the spoken alerts section n the FAQ which also includes links to the voice files which are available from this site for free - Bear in mind the pictures you mention are for the Navigation Voice the spoken alert files are different - Mike |

The Speed zoned database is downloaded from the Speed camera database download page which is where you got the cameras from earlier see This Page.
First of all select the TomTom OV2 as the sat nav type, then select UK Speed Zoned Complete (24 files), this is the database you need - Mike |

I have just downloaded the database and its fine and working, it is possible you have a corrupt download, this does happen from time to time but is rare. Download it again and copy the files to the map folder on your device, let us know how you get on - Mike |
