I wonder if someone could help please, after unsucsesfully trying to get Vickie`s voice for the speed camera alarms to work for my TT700 a couple of months ago I gave up.I recently retried with mikealders sticky on what to do.Unfortunately I am still getting the choose bell 1,2 ,3 or boing or whatever sound whereas it says that if you get the choose sound screen in the set up then there is something wrong.I am at a loss where the problem is.I downloded the latest camera files, the 2250 Vicky voice file and changed the sound file to .ogg as requested.Would something from a previous installation cause the problem? What would be the only files left in the Western Europe folder if I deleted all the sound/camera files for it to be the default files?I would appreciate any help please. If someone has an idiots guide for what I need to do that would be appreciated too.
Thanks in advance,
Paul |

Have you tried getting the sound files from the NEW .oggs page?
They are now packaged complete, so you don't need to do any file renaming, or messing around.
The page is HERE
Delete all your existing oggs and start again with one of the packs from there (just make sure if you are using the speed-zoned camera file set then you use one of the speed-zoned ogg files sets).
Hopefully it will be straighforward now, come back if you still have problems. |

i have followed the instructions as posted , i had a normal beeping sound matched to the cameras however i wanted the other ones the warnings spoken ones.. i downloaded them and put them in my map file on the tom tom... however when i go to manage POI and say about the warning and it asks if i wanna delete it and then the distance i complete all that but it does not ask me about what sound i want... i do not know how to change it to the sounds that i have downloaded
does that make sense
thanks
i have the all speed cam one |

If its not asking you to choose a warning sound the software has picked up the fact that the ogg files are present and will use them by default (once you have configured all your camera warnings).
The question about deleting the warning is simply answered no, set distance, set if on route (or not as per your preference) - so long as it doesn't ask for a sound selection you have sorted this out - Mike |

Do you get both the spoken alert and the bell/ bong etc? or no spoken alert at all?
It could be you have more than a single installation of camera POI files installed, have a close look at the ov2 Files that you have in the map folder - Mike |
