|
|
Hi - I am in an area where there is no map coverage. Although I can create POIs, I cannot navigate to them on my Tomtom One V2. ("No usable locations near cursor"). I have two questions relating to this:
1. Can I create a custom map of my area (not necessarily with a road database, just a picture)?
2. Can I get the unit to give me bearing/distance to POIs somehow?
Thanks in advance |

1. I don't think TomTom publish the format for the maps, so that might be a bit tricky.
2. Assuming it works the same as TomTom Mobile you could set Compass Preference to "distance to destination" and select the POI as your destination. The compass arrow should then point straight at the POI with the distance overlaid upon it. _________________ Kam |

Unfortunately it won't let me "Navigate To - POI/Favourite" at all. Just says no usable locations near cursor. |

Roussilat's "Off-road Navigator" add-on for TomTom might be just what you need. I haven't tried it myself, but IIRC it bypasses the map and uses the raw GPS co-ordinates.
