I have a Tom Tom one (v1 the bigger older one ) with the orginal map. If I upgrade the map to the lastest one will I get speedings warning on my Tom Tom or do I need a new version Tom Tom one to get this?
My tom tom map is curently v605.0

The speed data is a feature of the v6 map and v6 firmware. If you update both then you will get the road speed feature but there is no alert function.
All that happens is that your speed turns red and starts to flash. It's certainly not obvious enough to rely on as a warning. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren, I did upgrade the other day on Tom Tom Home and I think it upgraded my softwear to:- App 6.560 0S:1713
is this version 6 firmwear?
I assume my map softwear is quite old ? |

Yes that's the V6 firmware. Now you need the latest map that contains the speed data, you can check your map version by clicking the satellite strength bars, then the version box.
Below the device firmware version will be the map details and version number. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I have got :- GPS v1.21, Boot 5.05
Map 'Great_Britan' v605.0
Language: English UK
Sorry to be thick but is my map version six if its v605.0?
