Do TomTom offer map upgrades for the current TomTom One Regional/Europe, or the TomTom Go 910?
Thanks |

Map upgrades are made available from time to time - keep your eye on the forum or TomTom's web site for information.
You can easily upgrade a TTOne UK to full Europe standard by purchasing a new map that includes the additional area coverage, the more cost effective method is to purchase the device loaded with the map you require - Mike |

thanks mike, i had a pda with tomtom navigator 5 on it before (upgraded from 3 - the upgrade box had a load of cds for the maps of western europe). should be just a case of buying a bigger sd card and loading the new downloaded maps onto that? |

Yes, you can download new maps when they come out and install to a new card, or you can get them on DVD or SD card.
At the moment there are no maps that are significantly newer than those supplied with the x10 range or the One v2/3.
Not sure if you were assuming they would be free updates, but there are three things in this life that are certain.... death, taxes and TomTom maps will always cost you! |

nah, i've been familiar with TomTom long enough to know that they're always out to make a quick buck
thanks for your advice, it was a toss-up between the Go 910 and tomtom one v2... i really only wanted the 910 for the text-to-speech facility, the other features i can happily live without so i couldn't really justify the price difference to myself although it would have been a lot easier to if the 910 got as good reviews as the one v2 seems to!
i thought it rather bizarre that only the tomtom one gb v2 seemed to have southern ireland covered (normally i wouldnt have minded but i'm off there for the first time later in the year, typical!), so i've ended up ordering that one... £141.88 from Currys online.... now they've shot up to £188 ?!... i was quite pleased with my "bargain"... until i saw Comets site had a free TomTom case included for the same price ![Rolling Eyes](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif) |

At my age, I'm beginning to wonder just what order they come in (certainly TT Maps look like last). ![Wink](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) _________________ Dennis
