Am I missing the blindingly obvious? - I have purchased the European Map CD's in preparation for a continental trip in May and attempts to install ask for a Product Activation Key. The Navman website refers to the need to purchase this(despite the fact I have just spent £99) but gives no indication of how to acquire it and numerous attempts to email them end up taking me to a screen which says 'the answer to your question is probably listed below', but it isn't. I have bought 3 512Mb SD cards and all I want to do is load Belgium, Germany and Austria but so far I have not managed it. Can anyone help? |

Which versions of Navman and SmartST are you using or is it an FXX series? _________________ Gee-Pee

Hi
If your purchase was via Navman or is a genuine first purchase, the product key is found on the back of the packaging box that contains the 4 cd’s and manual.
It looks like this.
SmartST 200X for iCN510 & iCN520 – Pan Euro
Product Key: XXX - @@@ - @xx@@ - XXX@X
(Aplication) IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (Bar Code)
Map Data - Pan Euro
Product Key XX@ - X@F – XXX@X – X@@YN
(Map) IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (Bar Code)
Important do not lose the product key numbers as they
must be used every time this software is installed
this is printed on a white label and is displayed as above.
Regards

I've just been made to feel very, very silly. Having at last found a phone number to contact Navman I spoke to a very helpful chap who said ' have you looked on the back of teh little book that came with the CD's?' and, guess what, there was the label with the numbers. So, after wasting a whole afternoon yesterday, I'm busy putting the maps in my IC520 now. However, it has to be said, there was no reference anywhere, in the book or on the website, to where these numbers could be found, only amention that they had to be purchased sparately. He did say that he had had many calls about this same problem to which the answer would be so simple, mention that the Product Application Number is on a lebel on the back cover of the book. |
