You can cold start it without causing any problems. It will take the standard 45 seconds or so to get a lock, that's all.
If you factory reset it then it might take a couple of minutes to get a lock - make sure you have a good sky view and some patience if you do this! _________________ Gone fishing! |

SO you can do the factory reset via bluetooth though correct? Also just an update for those how have been helping me. One thing i noticed is that i have yet to have it not work after letting it sit over night.(with the batter still in) So far i have been able to turn it on and fix today with no problem 3 times. So as for now it seems just as along as i don't turn it on and off in short periods of time its works. plus i figure that if i am making trips where i would be turning it on and off ill just leave it on and connect the car charger so it doesn't go dead. |

Nowt to worry about. Unless you use the specific USB to GPSlim cable it will not work as a Serial GPS and so Windows throws a wobbly and gives that error. It will however charge from USB using any normal USB Mini to USB cable. _________________ Darren Griffin |
