Glad to hear that, next you should have a read of #5 on This Page - spoken alerts to go with the Pocket GPS World Speed Camera Database, there is even a page on the site where you can download lots of different voice files for your unit - read up on using the ogg file methed in the link above.
Then go to This Page to get the voice files you need.
Before you do any of the above though, plug the new unit into the PC and make a full back-up of the device in its day one condition - Mike

Backed up immediately! Strange thing is though....all the safety cameras on the new one which are speed numbered appear in the POI list...and can be managed.

But not on my 3 month old one. appear in the same folder when connected to PC but dont appear in the POI list on unit.

Never mind....they work and thats the main thing!!! :D

That will be down to the software version installed to the device, when I first got my 910 I could see POI files and set up warnings, after a software update this "facility" had been denied.
I guess your three month old machine is running newer software than the replacement item.
You check the software version by tapping the sat strength meter (lower right) then on the next screen tap the version box (again on the right part way down the screen) and compare what is installed - Mike

Well I do update when it tells me there is new software.
Is it best not to then?

I will keep the same software on my husbands new one when we are told there is new if that is the case.

Unless there is a feature you need in the new software, or it offers to fix a bug you have experienced I would be tempted to leave well alone. The old adage "If it isn’t broke don't fix it" springs to mind. I used to always want the latest updates installed to the devices I use, but if no new features are offered why bother!
Just bear in mind before you start to investigate any possible fault you may find with the device, the bug you have "discovered" may well have been fixed in later software releases - Mike

Remember, these are the Tom Tom cameras and they'll be old as the hills and out of date. If/when you do an update, you'll probably be offered the cameras, whereupon they'll change to the "new" TT format which you can't configure for distance and warning sounds. Perhaps the "new" format ones should be more up to date, but they'll still not be a patch on the PGPSW ones.
