sorry to be a pain if this has already been asked but, some how i have managed to wipe clean my sd card with out any backups!!!! so when i turn my tomtom 510 now it says there are no maps!!! please help guys. |

You could try a file recovey program. The best one I found was from a company called R studio. You should try google for them and then download a free limited use version and see if it works.

With your TomTom connected to your computer, you can browse the card's contents using Windows Explorer. It will show up as a new hard drive.
Check to see if the map folder is there and if it not empty.
If you deleted the map while using Home, then immediate use of a file recovery program, as was suggested by Bruggen, might save you. |

If non of the recovery options work and you have managed to wipe the card the following might be the only course of action available:
You will need to contact TomTom there phone number is 08451610009 you will probably have to provide proof of purchase as well by fax/ email etc.
When you get the card sorted and the device is working correctly please make sure you take a full back-up of the contents, it makes recovery action so much easier - Mike |
