just updated my tomtom one v2 europe via tomtom home (v 6.560), as i want to try out the gps quickfix feature i've read about.
update seems to have gone ok, but i've switched my unit on (albeit indoors) and i've no sat signal at all. do i have to enable anything to get this feature to work or should it all kick in automatically.
was it worth doing? and how do i keep it going, i understand i have to update it once a week???
thanks for help.

Take the device outside and wait for it to get a position fix, some users have commented this can take a while, then connect the device to the PC at least once a week and let TomTom Home install the quick fix data it needs, this is automatic - there is nothing to select etc - Mike |

thanks (again!!) for your advice mike.
did a reset and switched on outdoors and sats came up quite quickly. did notice though that travelling through a tunnel / underpass that sat reception was lost (maps greyed out) - i thought that gps quickfix would predict sat positions on the move or is it only at initial startup??
happy easter!! |

The quick fix is only used so the device will know where the sats are in the sky at a given date and time. It cannot be used to provide vehicle position when in tunnels etc. - Mike |
