to the forum.
Now please give us a bit more info on what you've done. ...
1. How did you do the backup? (using Tom Tom Home may not be a FULL backup, Windows Explorer SHOULD be, providing you were Showing All Files and Extensions. And the best backup of all is to copy your SD card, then use only the copy so that you can go back to the original card if necessary). I am hesitant to start advising on how to get back to your original state until I know how well you know to muck about with computer and 510.
2. Which cameras have you loaded - the ones from this site?
3. Where did you place the cameras?
4. How did you go about the voices?
5. Where did you place the voices?
6. Have you used or disabled the already included Tom Tom cameras? _________________ Dennis

Have a read of This Page:
#1 For Back-up, do this anyway - (before anything else)
#5 For spoken alerts
#13 For removal of TomTom speed cams.
In addition to the above have a look in your map folder using Windows Explorer, then delete any file with an extension of ov2 (these are the POI files).
Now download and install a fresh set of speed camera POI, configure them for warnings and give it a try (note to avoid using petrol checking its working) use Advanced Planning set a departure and destination that produces a route passing a camera. Then use Show Route Demo, set the speed to 100%(ish) and watch/ listen - The route speed can be a lot higher but using 100% will ensure the warning is given by the device (one less variable to contend with ) - Mike |

4 . dont understand.
5 . into the same folder as maps/camaras.

Don't worry - your mistake would have been if you hadn't come here and simply flogged away in ignorance. Do as Mike says and you should be OK. But please don't be afraid to come back if it goes belly up again - we all get it wrong sometimes, so nobody will put you down if you do come back on it. From what you've said, you seem to have been very close to success originally anyway. _________________ Dennis

Go back to Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn if POI on Route and re-configure each of your warnings, select the camera POI from the list, answer NO when it asks you to remove the POI warning, then set your new distance, and de-select the "Warn only if POI on Route" checkbox. Repeat the above for each camera POI you have installed - Mike |

Re-check that you have Un-ticked "Hide Extensions of Known File Types" in Explorer's Folder Options. You may have .ogg.ogg instead of .ogg! _________________ Richard

No they are not a repeat, they are additional ones which haven't been checked for accuracy. Some people use them, others don't. If you don't want them, simply delete the OV2 files for all PMobiles. If you DO want to use them, either choose warning sounds for them, or download OGG files for the PMobiles and put them into the map folder like all the other OGG files. _________________ Dennis
