I know this has been addressed so many times it's unbelievable but I cant find what i'm looking for!
I want to change my start up screen and all info I have seen says you need to rename the pic you are going to use "splash.bmp! and get rid of the existing one or rename it to "splash1.bmp" ..all pretty straight forward until I look inside the card and can only find splash.......just splash....is this the smae file? as I said it doesnt say splash.bmp it just says splash, I am wooried if I rename this file my tomtom won't start up......any pointers most welcome,, remember though you are dealing with an idiot. |

When viewing the device via Windows Explorer make sure you have show hidden files selected, and hide extensions for known file types hidden not selected.
These can be selected while in Windows Explorer click the Tools/ Folder Options _ View Tab and locate the check boxes mentioned above, then look at the card and the file extensions will be shown - Mike |
