|
|
Folks,
I'm away from home and found the USB socket on my i3 has broken. The i3 is 18 months old and probably out of warranty.
Power wise I'm happy running it off NiMH batteries, but I'm worried how I will be able to upload new POI's, especiayyly for speed camera updates.
Is it possible to use a transflash to SD card adaptor to access the card directly using POILoader and Garmin update?
If not is there another way of manually updating the POI files?
Many thanks! |

A known weak point on the i3 I'm sorry to say. The good news is that Garmin have been very obliging with some other users and out of warranty units so give them a call. _________________ Darren Griffin |

....and to answer your question, yes you can load POI's, including speed cam data directly to your transflash using a card reader.
You would not be able to upgrade the unit software, though. _________________ Garmin i3 gone (sold on eBay)
