Welcome to the forum, the device is an NMEA compliant unit, what software has disapeared? - do you have any GPS related application to install to the PDA as it should simply find it and use it - can you remember what was on the PDA before your reset? - Mike

Thanks Mike, when I bought it, the pda had tomtom on it, but it was for Germany, not much good in Cottontown, TN. :D , so anyway the gps would come on but it never would give me a location of where I was at, kept coming up "unknown" so I got to looking and everywhere I could find, it said to do a reset. Well the reset I did, took everything off, . I was going to use if with one of the golf gps programs, like gps-golf, or igolf, one of those. So when I put my gps in the cf slot, it blinks green one time and thats it. Before I did the reset it would acquire the satellites. Now I have a gps unit and cant use it at all. IF I buy any gps software will the gps unit then work or am I missing something. Thanks for your help.

It should work with any GPS based software, the software will make the call to "wake-up" the receiver. As a free test you can download the GPS driver for version 2,06 from Here install and configure it - then see if the device displays GPS information - once you know its working you will have to purchase your Golf based software to try, but at least you will know the device/ combination works - Mike

Good, Glad to hear its working, now you need your golfing software - it might not improve your game - but its something else to blame when that little white ball won't go where you want it to - Mike
