Plugged into TTHome today and version 6.030 was available for upgrade. I'm runnung on a Palm TX and it seems to work ok. Will try it on my Zire 72 (currently running 6.010) when it returns from a trip to North Carolina where it is now with a freind from Boston.

Is there any way to find out what has been changed/fixed/updated? |

There was a lot of discussion about this version for a certain group of devices. Do a search or look back a few weeks ago. I haven't been able to find any info on TomTom's website. |

Hi
I upgraded to v.6.030 and now my Voices are at half volume and I have lost all my POI alerts completely. Everything else seems to be exactly as before so unless I see any reason not to in the next week or so I will reinstall v.6.0.
Is it just me or is v.6 not as smooth as v. 5.21 on the TX?
Ciao

It's not just you, martinloat, the slow refresh is one of my biggest gripes with v6.
I'm running on a T3 which has one of the fastest Palm processors and yet it is still slow and 'lumpy'. Even overclocking doesn't help. Version 6.03 solves nothing...
But for the new maps I'd revert to v5 in a flash. |

I used my setup today at work and noticed the voice is a lot lower than version 6.010. Enough so that it's hard to hear in my truck a full volume. I think I'll switch back to 6.010

I'm wondering if TT have set up ver. 6.030 to use the sound prefrences in the Palm OS. I have my systems sounds set to low as I don't want noisy sounds in quite places. I've changed back to 6.010 to get the volume back up so can't experiment to see if this is linked to the volume change in ver. 6.030. Could anyone that has 6.030 running on there Palm see if the volume is tied to the volume options in prefrences.

I checked the TomTom support site for downloads for TT6 for Palm and they did not have this version. I do not run TomTom Home and thought these fixes would be provided via download.
Anyone keeping the fix on? Seems to cause problems. |
