hello
this is my first post so be gentle
i've been looking at buying a secondhand go 700 after hearing about problems with mounts, etc on the 10series
however after reading some posts on here,i understand there are some issues with registration and licences to operate the 700
some things i don't understand are listed below and any help would be most welcome
IF I BUY A SECONDHAND GO 700 CAN I
1-upgrade or install new maps
2-re register it to my tomtom account (already have mobile-5 from new)
3-make backup copies of the hard disc in the tomtom700
4-re-use the orignal owners activation code if needed
cheers for a great site and all the poi's (think i may have put to many on my nokia 7610 with tomtom mobile 5 as my best bud BRUCE has stastastarted tttto stutstutstutter when guideing me round the country, mental note to self "REMOVE SOME OF THE BLOODY THINGS,YA GREAT GALAH") |

AS FAR AS I KNOW
1) Yes you can
2) Yes providing you have all the dockuments
3) 700 is a sd card not a hard disc
4) As answer two
If it comes with all paperwork and the TT produck code the one that comes on like a credt card then i see no problem.
But be wery that it has not been stolen and rember there is no guarantees with secondhand items |

As long as it comes complete with the Credit Card sized product key then you should be fine. Ensure you have all the accessories that were supplied as well. _________________ Darren Griffin |
