Hi all
just thought I would give you all a report on the 1st week using the Tom Tom FM mount, After using various FM transmitters and still not being able to send handsfree calls to the radio I orderd one of these and have to say it works very well.
On mounting the Tom Tom you get a screen saying "would you like to send all sound to the FM mount" you then are given a screen that lets you input the frequency and there you are.
The only problem I had was the FM volume is quite low and the tom tom volume controls dont have any affect that I could detect and as my MP3 files where quite quiet I had to turn the radio up quite loud, I solved this by finding a small program that allows me to adjust the dB level of the MP3 files set them all 96dB and it is much better just a small amout of his between tracks but no more that the standard FM his.
I would recoment this it seems to transmit the fm quite strongly and with my roof mounted aerial still recieves the sound very well
:D :D :D |

As you stated the volume is very low. I have to crank it up, and then promptly forget about that. Then, when switching back to a normal radio station, I get blasted out of the seat every single time. I wish TomTom would find a way to increase the volume on their end. _________________ Lutz

Hi
Yes that is a problem, I do not realy listen to the radio just the MP3 files on the tom tom so do not get that problem but if you did re tune to a normal radio station play a CD it would be a bit loud.
