Hi can anyone tell me the point of TomTom 6? i have had a look and it seems to be almost exactly the same as 5. Well except all the 5 maps will not work with version 6. Also Version 6 you cannot rotate the screen anymore.
Just asking as it seems to me a pointless upgrade, possibly a money spinner from TomTom? wouldnt surprise me as they charge too much for their software. |

Favourite management is easier and I found the menu sequences easier to follow. I can choose different screen orientations. _________________ --------------------------------

Having read just about every post on TTN6, blazer666, I came to the same conclusion as you. Newer maps, yes, but it's also been said that roads which were on TTN5, have disappeared.
The seamless maps for Western Europe could well suit frequent travels visiting a number of different countries but I only go to France and using GB maps and the France Plus maps, I can navigate from home to anywhere in France seamlessly. So personally I find the upgrade to 6 pointless.
Just to add, before starting out with Sat. Nav. a couple of years back with TTN3, my France paper map was dated 1994. :D _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
