I have a tomtom 1 GB with version 6.520 and the pocket gps camera db all of which up until recently worked ok.
I tried to update to 6.560 but it wouldn't have it and kept freezing up. I've been in touch with tomtom but they have not as of yet provided a solution on how to roll forward to 6.560.
However, I have restored from a previous good back up (tried a couple in fact) having formatted the sd card first but now the tomtom does not see my camera pois anymore. I can see that they are on there when exploring in the tomtom home pc interface but when on the tomtom itself, they do not appear.
What has gone wrong. How can I make this work properly again? The camera locations are the main reason for having it?
Please help.
Thanks |

Ignore Home.
With the TomTom connected to the PC, use Windows Explorer to look inside your Map folder (you do only have one map folder, don't you?)
Can you see the pocket gps camera ov2 files there?
On the machine itself have you:
1. "enabled" the camera POIs in the Preferences menu (Change Preferences / Enable POIs)
2. turned on POIs in the Map detail preferences (Browse map / Options)
3. selected the camera POIs to display on map (Browse map / Options/ POI)
If none of these work, download Drive Z (http://www.snapfiles.com/opinions/DriveZ/DriveZ.html) and use it to create a list of the names of the files in:
1. your map folder
2. the root (i.e. not in any folder)
then post the list here for us to have a look at. |

I've got it working now from an older backup now restored. This was prior to downloading the general POIs from here. Could it be that I had too many on (but it worked prior to trying to update the tomtom application)?
Also, as tomtom don't seem to be able to help, any ideas why I can't successfully install the latest update to the app? I just get the grey screen with please wait and an egg timer but it won't progress beyond that i.e. freezes up? |
