Hi all,

I get my Mini S JCW in a couple of weeks time and one thing is bothering me....

I currently use my Navman 3400 GPS in my Beemer all the time with it cliped onto the vents for the heating.

The only problem in the mini is i cant figure out where the hell to mount my GPS!

Any ideas guys please as using my GPS is very important for my work.

Cheers

Brodit have a ProClip for the Mini but it is very low on the center console so not really suitable for a 3400 Jacket unless you installed an external antenna and located that on the dash. I am assuming that the supplied windcsreen mount is not to your liking?

Hi really sorry about the delay in replying...

I have just found out that the car I am getting has the winter pack installed - which means the front windscreen has a heating element in it to help defrost it quickly in the cold.

I'f I'm correct taht means my GPS wont work properly am I correct?

It's difficult to be certain but it is more than likley that this will block the signal. You could use an external antenna plugged into the jacket though, this need not be positioned outside the vehicle as often they can receive a clear signal when located at the extremities of the windscreen e.g. bottom left or right hand corners.
