These maps are 9A00.011, the latest maps are 9A00.111, so these are Western Europe 2005, not the latest and probably not seamless either |

Even if you haven't got the part number, the givaway is "maps" or "maps collection. Either phrase implies it isn't a single, seamless map. |

Ah.... one of them with mysterious part numbers. I've seen this number quoted before, but have never seen it on any official TomTom price list. I think these are separate add-on maps of countries, as you've correctly stated v6.5. They are not "current" maps. |

Just had an explore of the dvd. There is a 916mb file called Western Europe on it as well as a lot of country maps. Latest file creation dates are 12 May 2006. Hope this helps. Think its not important now as Amazon have stopped the promotion. |

Thanks, that sounds about right apart from the 916mb WE file, but that would explain the unusual Part No. |

I've ordered one of these for a trip to France. What can I put on my 2gb sd card?
GB+WE+FRANCE
or
GB+WE
or
WE only
Basically, does WE have all the stuff on the individual GB and France maps?
Can you actually install WE and individual maps on the same card? |

You could easily get them all on if you wanted to but the WE covers street level of 21 countries incl GB & France anyway. |

...so how does the TomTom know which map to use if it's got GB maps on it (latest version which came with my TT1 v2) and slightly older WE maps (v. 6.5)?
Do individual maps take precedent, or can you set a priority for which map it uses? |

Options/Switch Maps if you have more than one on an SD card. |
