I've installed v1.5 beta which has pulled down the latest PGPSW database of 11Jan07. With POI Loader this has been sent to C320. The icon is in its correct place down the bottom right hand corner of the pc screen, but the 'bubble' keeps on popping up stating 'updates are ready for installing'. When I connect C320 to pc and run POI Loader again, nothing changes and the bubble still insists there are updates ready to install.
What trick have I missed? _________________ Garmin C320 & Garmin Quest |

Sounds like you're using an old version of POI Loader - you'll need 2.3.1 or newer ;) |

When I go to POI Loader on Garmins site it appears that I can download v 2.3.2. When I do this I can't run the file as it now says 2.3.2 is an older version than the 2.4 I have on the pc. So the process shuts down... _________________ Garmin C320 & Garmin Quest |

Uninstalled v2.4 beta POI Loader and installed v 2.3.2...No difference. Icon bubble still states updates ready to be installed. 'Installed' them 3 times to the C320 but their still waiting to be installed.
PS Think the icon on the map showing the speed limit instead of the camera picture is great. Thanks Ash. :D _________________ Garmin C320 & Garmin Quest |

OK, after more fiddling about here's the summary...With POI Loader v2.4 beta I can't get the Camera Manager to 'idle'. If I delete v2.4, load version 2.3.2, re-start the pc and then update my C320, then, Camera Manager does idle. :D
Must be a beta v2.4 thing? _________________ Garmin C320 & Garmin Quest |

Camera Manager only checks once a day, to avoid excessive bandwidth loading on the PGPSW servers.
Don't worry - it'll pick up the new version automatically tomorrow ;) |

Last question for tonight - in the latest DB release today (yesterday now) there is a new file contain "unconformed" mobile sites. Is that likely to be included in the files processed by Camera Manager ? _________________ Red Squirrel

Camera Manager v1.5.0.3 beta is now available on pre-release to contributors
General release to follow shortly...
New features:
Unconfirmed mobile cameras
There is now an option to include the new "unconfirmed" mobile camera sites - at the time of writing, this is around 1200 extra locations.
The default (and recommended) setting is enabled - ie: include the unconfirmed sites.
Confirmation on quit
Clicking on the close icon in the top-right corner of the settings window now asks if you want to quit Camera Manager, or just close the settings window.
Several users (including myself) have accidently quit Camera Manager in this way, only noticing a few days later that it was no longer running.
Hush mode
A left-click on the system tray icon while the "Updates are ready for installing" message bubble is displayed, will make Camera Manager enter hush mode - no further reminder messages will be given.
A right-click on the icon will repeat the last message bubble as before, and will also cancel hush mode - reminders will be given as normal.
Restarting the computer, or quitting and reloading Camera Manager, will automatically cancel hush mode. |

That's great news Ash10. How would those of us who have contributed download the new version? _________________ _________________

Ash - same problem here as above. There's doesn't appear to be a link to update... _________________ Garmin C320 & Garmin Quest |
