|
|
Until the end of the month, Amazon is offering free maps of Western Europe if you buy a ONE GB or GO 510 GB. Not a bad offer for occasional trips away if you're buying one anyway but the maps appear to be the individual country maps so will be out-of date.
I was considering replacing my current PDA/Nav6/Western Europe setup but realised that I'd be going backwards from the current seamless WE map to the version I had before I upgraded.
Amazon's quoted price when not part of the offer is £69.99 which is very similar to the cost of my up-to-date map when I downloaded it from TomTom. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Is version 6.5 separate country maps or a seamless one please I could still be tempted if it is a seamless one even if a little older _________________ TT Go Essential |

Be very careful.... I couldn't find the free offer page but the maps that Amazon have at £69.99 DO NOT look like the "slightly older v6.5 map" (Binman....)
They look to me like the old v5 INDIVIDUAL maps.
Givaway signs are "mapS" and "collection".
Of course they could have just used an old picture, you won't know unless you ask Amazon for a definitive answer or a part number. |

Looks like the end of the month has come early they have pulled the offer out of interest put a TT1 and the maps in the basket it no longer discounts the maps working yesterday.
By all accounts the maps were 2005 going on this thread and one i started. |

Regarding the maps, have just bought a TT one with free European maps. What you get is v6.5 on DVD, individual country maps although it says a seamless map of w.europe is included. Havn't tried it so don't know. |
