Someone told me he has a newer version that I do 6.03 but he has a non-pda version and I thought the two followed different version trees. |

The official supported PDA version is 6.01 UNLESS you have a particular PDA which requires 6.03 to fix a problem.
Go to the TT website www.tomtom.com and follow the links for the PDA upgrade - it lists the appropriate PDAs.
However you can download 6.03 and try it on your PDA - it does work on my AXIM X51v - but I won't get support from TomTom - but I won't lose sleep over that.
FWIW in my experience 6.03 seems to be a lot smoother visually and has a different routing algorithm compared with 6.01. It stops trying to route me onto a road that is several metres under me on my way home. _________________ Phil |

There is/ was a version 6,020 but as far as I am aware it was only supplied pre-installed to certain hardware with built in GPS receivers, the HTC Artemis was one such device with 6,020 installed. Interestingly upgrading the unit to WM6 (the official ROM from the manufacturer) you loose the in built TomTom and have to install it manually - Mike |

According to some of my customers, TomTom Home upgrades them to version 6.030 regardless of whether they have one of the specific PDA models that the web site says the fix is for. And anything written with the SDK doesn't work on 6.030, until TomTom release an updated SDK. |

I found a very definate improvement in the way TTN 6.03 runs on my iPAQ 1940 after previously running versions 5.21, 6.00 and 6.01. _________________ TT Go Essential |
