There's a firmware update for GO x10 available from Tom Tom Home.
The upgrade is to version 6.524 - not sure what is changed/fixed by this update. |

I do wish TT Home would provide a bullet point list of changes when telling you there is new firmware available.
But then I'd also like TT to listen to the problems we have with the TMC areial. |

Hhmm, that's interesting, via the home application, I was informed there were two updates for my go 510:
1. An updated phone database (with new connection settings for certain phones) and
2. The firmware. Clicking on the more info option I was directed to this page
www.tomtom.com/6141
however firmware 6.524 wasn't listed for the go 510 Still shows 6.522 as the latest. |

Apologies Andy if I get this wrong but you can only state what is on the firmware AFTER it has been released?
Why can't TT tell you what the new firmware will do BEFORE you download it!
Great to have your info, still doesn't excuse TT for poor communication! |

HI
It looks like you can now order the FM transmitter on the TOM TOM site as well and that it supports mobile handsfree over the radio so I have orderd one as the playing of mobile handsfree with navigation and mp3 is a big bonus with a 910.
Cheers Andy |

Hi Pete1336 -
When I updated to 6.524 - it said the update was for 510 and 710 only, - not sure why you cant get it?
Try a soft reset and force a download of the latest version.
Regards Tony |

Tony,
I think you've misunderstood my post, maybe it wasn't as clear as it could have been. The home app successfully downloaded and installed the latest firmware but when I visited originally that webpage there was no mention of the new firware or what it contained. I've since checked again and it's listed now. Probably just tomtom being a little slow in advertising it.
Cheers,
Pete |
