Which database did you use?

What settings did you use for POILoader? Try using Express before playing with the settings.

The cameras should alert if you are over their assigned speed limit.

Gent's just used POI uploader to load cameras and MaFt's POI's. Copied them onto SD Card as already crashed one unit. When I boot up unit asks if I want to copy them onto it say NO and unit boots up. Do I need to do this in order to make them run? Problem is I can't seem to see them at the moment.

Hi there, its im agen, the old wrinkley. a question for the experts please.
[I have the i3 with a 512 card and version 9 mapping] when using the POI loader I put all the poi's I need plus the camera database in a folder and upload all together,. it works fine but I would like to know how to separate the database display on the I3 from the " custom " poi's into a separate heading.
or am I shooting at the moon again.? Embarassed

Regards to everyone, I still think its the best thing including sliced bread, but not Christmas cake !! Cheers ... Ben...

Hi,

I've just had a Kenwood KNA-G520 installed and, having looked at the Speed Camera database help I downloaded the POI Loader onto my PC.

I then subscribed to the database and downloaded the speed cameras.

According to the forum I should then be able to open the POI Loader which will then recognise the SD Card (inserted in the reader) and then transfer the database to the SD Card.

However, when I double click on the POI Loader file it says it is already installed and won't let me go any further!

I successfully downloaded a software upgrade via SD Card without a hitch but this is frustrating the hell out of me...............please tell me I'm doing something basically wrong!!!

My POI Loader is in a different file location is that why? Rolling Eyes

Thanks
Nige

maz8209 Why three posts?
This is the oldest and most often repeated question on this forum I think Smile
If you ae getting 19mph insead of 30, it's a setting in POI Loader....and you've left it set to kilometers rather than miles per hour (19mph=30kmph).
You just have to start again, click the right setting in the drop-down box and reload all the pois.

Hi,

I have a Garmin i3. I have downloaded the files using the POI loader and they appear to have gone into the sat nav as when i looked in custom points there are 2 files there pocketsgps-uk-pmobile and pocketgps-uk-sc.

There is no warning when i approach a camera even at speed, the proximity alert is switched on but still no joy.

Could somebody please help, do i have some files missing or something not switched on correctly?

Cheers
Jif

Does anyone know if the POI loader works with Vista 64?

I asked Garmin but they didn't reply.

Chaddy, Welcome to the forum. Have you got the i3 plugged in to a PC mounted USB socket, we have seen other try to use a Hub or USB connection on their monitor which doesn't reliably work. If that doesn't cure the problem can you describe what you see on the i3 screen when plugged in to the PC.
And what opperating system have you got on the PC, Windows XP or something else - Mike

Hi

Having a problem with changing the proximity distance on POI Loader 2.40 BETA.

Using speed zone files.

Audible warnings are working fine.

Changed distance but it doesn't appear to be recognised when I run simulation.

The original distance appears to remain in place.

Any thoughts?

Bye for now.
