Nope.
The TomTom looks for a specific filename ("splash.bmp" or "splashw.bmp" for the x10 range).
You could store them on the unit with different names and if you were running TT on a PDA, use the equivalent of Windows Explorer to change the file names; but on a Go/One you'll have to connect up to the PC to change the names. |

That's correct. Remember it has a set format. It plays havoc if you don't get it right.
Rename the old one in case you want it back. _________________ Richard

jempie, you have to get the size and shape exactly right before you save it, and for some versions you have to rotate the picture through 90 degrees too.
Odd there's no "sticky" or instructions at the top of this topic.
Not one of the new FAQs either....
Here's some tips I did a while back:
How to...Add a Splashscreen or shutdown screen |

Hi,
does anyone have a splash screen for a BMW Mini please - I really like the other contributions on this forum containing the logo & 'powered by TomTom' |

Whoops!
But go the site anyway.
In the meantime I will work out why the image did not show. |

As you may have found out already RQ, this forum will only accept images in .jpg (or .gif) format.
Whereas the TomTom will only accept images in .bmp format!
Makes running an on-line archive of splash screens a bit fiddly.. :x |
