|
|
I’ve just sourced a genuine cradle and charger (my first eBay purchase :D ) for my iPAQ 3970 for my PC at work. This makes things so much easier as my original cradle and charger are connected to my home PC. At the moment I’m removing the charger from the wall socket every time I leave the office, unfortunately I have to crawl under my desk to do this.
Does anybody know if iPAQ mains chargers are OK to leave connected to the mains electricity supply all the time? Or will they eventually overheat if left on 24 x 7?
Also, if I were to leave the iPAQ in the cradle (and charger) whilst at work (roughly an eight hour day), would this have any detrimental effect on either the iPAQ or the charger?
Thanks, _________________ Robert.

I have had no problems with my 3630 cradled all day and I never unplug or power off the power supply. Been like this for three years now _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren,
Many thanks for your quick reply. :D
That’s a relief not to have to crawl about under my desk! 8)

My 3970 mains charger stays plugged in 24/7 and has been plugged in continuously for a year (apart from a few days when I was away from home) - it gets a little warm, but is fine.
