Just downloaded the "Retail Stores" from TT home, and when I try to navigate to one, it says "No poi found". Have I just downloaded an empty file? Which retail stores are they? |

Are you sure you haven't downloaded an American file? I have never seen a UK Retail stores POI file on the UK TomTom site, but the Plus Services page DOES try to give you a US file. Click on "more info" and it lists:
* Best Buy US
* Best Buy Canada
* BJ's Wholesale
* Brookstone
* Circuit City
* Costco
* Fry's
* Future Shops
* Office Depot
* Office Max
* Pep Boys
* Radio Shack
* Sam's Club
* Sharper Image
* Staples
* Target
* Tweeter
* Wal-Mart
A fat lot of good if you only have UK or Europe maps!
Why don't you try the PGPSWorld ones from here? You can choose exactly which shops you want.

I did it via TT Home, selecting Online Store, then TT Shop and points of interest. I think you could be right though, because it did say "favorite stores", without actually naming any, and the favorite spelt the American way.
That would explain it, unless anyone knows differently! |

Thanks for that. I just downloaded the TT Home update, and the Go 510 update too, so was hoping it wasn't a problem with that. |

It's only at 3900, but when I get time it will be a continuing process. _________________ Richard

I did and thought I'd downloaded some, but it said there the file was corrupted. Actually I downloaded POI's when I had a Garmin i3 and also a Medion SatNav, and both of those became inoperable so I'm a bit nervous about downloading 3rd party stuff now, although I'm sure it's ok! |

As we are off to America shortly I thought, great I will download the shops! When I read it though, it says that the 910 already has them listed, so no need to download. |
