The only warning I would give is that I believe they are possibly selling the Kenwood GTM10, and not the Garmin GTM10. Although it's the same device, the Garmin version comes with more aerial converter connectors, which may be an issue to some. Obtaining these converter cables is not easy. |

Good finds there!
However, that only covers the ISO and the DIN connectors that Garmin would have put in the box. Anyone with a Fakra car aerial (All VAG cars - Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda) still can't connect the stereo.
However, you are right that the adaptors are out there for the majority of cars. |

Is this a test?
Not sure what a VW one would look like, but whether you bought the Garmin or the Kenwood one you'd still need an adapter, can't be more than £15. _________________ Samsung Mega

No, it's not a test, I'm simply informing you of the situation (and anyone else reading this thread).
As I've said, the VAG range use a Fakra car aerial connector - if you buy the Garmin GTM10, the connector for that (and 2 other car aerial types are included in the box) - if you buy the Kenwood GTM10, you only get 1 type of car aerial connector. Fakra connectors are nigh on impossible to obtain (as are adaptor cables for Fakra) and hence people need to be aware of the differences between the two models before assuming that these companies are selling the same device as listed on the Garmin website. |

I presume the end of the VW antenna lead has a fakra connector that goes straight in to the GTM 10. If this is the case just connect up the two din/iso leads supplied to make a double ended fakra lead to plug into the stereo. _________________ Samsung Mega

Only problem I see with these is the stereo must be turned on if you have a retractable aerial |

If the end of your Vivaro antenna lead has a 'female' fakra connector on it, it will connect straight in to the GTM 10. If it has a din or iso connector you just have to use the connectors suppied with the GTM 10.
The female fakra connector is on the far left, the iso/din are the two on the right.
