|
|
Hi,
I am experiencing the following problem when transferring POI (speedcam) files onto my 530 using SmartST Desktop:
Having selected the required file, I am required to enter a file name before sending it to the 530. Since I am using the zoned version (24 files) I obviously have to give each of them a different name. What I am trying to do is enter something like GAT20, MOB30, SPECS40 etc. but it will not allow me to enter a 0 (zero) although I can enter other numbers okay.
I am working around this by entering a capital O instead of a 0, but would like to know if this can be fixed?
Thanks. |

The only way I've found is if you rename the file to what you want before using the Navman POIEditor. It will use the zero if it's already in the file name. _________________ Tim |

Hi Tim,
Thanks for your reply - so it's not just me after all
Yes, that definitely works, thank you.
I note that the POIEditor comes up with the same first 8 letters of the file name (POCKETGP) if you don't edit them first. Just wondering if it would be possible for the authors to address this & start using some different file names when producing future databases - just a thought...

No, it's not just you. IIRC then the 2006 and/or 2006SE version doesn't suffer from this problem. _________________ Tim |

I had this the other day when trying to enter data into a spreadsheet. I found that I had accidentally pressed the Num Lock key on my laptop and it was typing an asterisk instead of a zero. All the other numerals were OK

Hi Robin,
Thanks for your reply.
I can confirm that the Num Lock is definitely off when this issue occurs.
I have recently contacted Navman support about this & received a reply from them today which confirms that this is a "feature" of this software.
Thanks for the suggestion though. |
