Caravan club sites are under the "Association" heading on the main POI download page on this site. Three sections:
Camping and Caravanning Club (2006-11-09 : 92)
Caravan Club (2007-01-02 : 190)
Caravan Club Certified Location (2006-12-24 : 2730)
Select Garmin in the box at the top to get the right format. |

Have a look in the boxes to the left of this page. At the bottom of the one headed "GPS Central" is a link called Download POIs, and you'll find them all there.
You can either download them as seperate categories, or it will combine them together into one big one, if you prefer. |

Thanks Andy have found what i need but it says this at the end.
Special Note to i3 users: If you have a card reader make a backup of your Micro-SD card to PC before downloading these POIs. If you have a newer model with no transflash card then you should use POIs on a seperate TransFlash card to avoid any possible corruption of the internal memory.
What do you think????? as mine is a i3 |

Has your i3 got a memory card in it or not? the card slot is on the righthand side of the device near the release catch for the battery door.
If your unit has a card copy its entire contents to the PC before messing around with it - you might need a card reader and or addapter to do this. If you have no card I would suggest you purchase one, the TransFlash cards the device uses are not too expensive these days, and if its only for POI get a small capacity card 128MB should do you - Mike |

Thanks Mike yes it does have a card in.
Is all the information for the GPS on this card or is that already in the unit???
If i got another card could i just use that for PIO or will the unit need the inbformation on my original card. |

The card most probably contains the map data, but you cannot be 100% sure until you look at what files/ folders are actually on it, early i3 devices were supplied with the map on the card, then the map was supplied pre-loaded to internal memory, but just to add further confusion later units were supplied with the maps loaded to internal memory but supplied with a memory card!
If you have a card reader put the TransFlash card in it and have a look at the contents via Windows Explorer. If you have a folder named Garmin on the card copy this to the computers hard drive, this will act as a back-up, then use POILoader to add the POI files you want to the card.
You could simply put the POI files on the card, but if something goes wrong you need the back-up to restore your unit back to a working condition - Mike |
