I ordered them the day the update was announced. Haven't received a dispatch note.
By the way, the DVD comes with a "Upgrade" product code making you believe you need an existing product to install this over. Not so. You can use the product code to activate a completely new setup. _________________ Lutz

Hi,
This is where I get very cheeky!!
Is there anyone out there who could provide a US address for this CD, and then send it to UK. I could pay postage with credit card, or paypal. |

Hi. I have ordered one for myself which is being delivered to my sister in law who lives in Florida. We are out there from 19th to 30th Jan. I am hoping mine will have arrived by the time or during the time we are there.
I am quite happy for you to arrange for one to be sent to her, if it arrives by the time we come home we would bring it back and post from the UK, or if it doesn't it will have to be posted on after we come home. She is in the shipping business so very reliable.
If you are interested email me

My maps arrived today. I ordered on December 26. I never did get a shipping confirmation.
I haven't had much time to explore them, but I did find that the two most glaring omissions (my office and a major shopping center) appear to have been at least partly updated. The street that my office is on has been added, but TomTom states that there are no addresses on the street. |

Thanks for the confirmation. It does look as of we are looking at about three weeks for delivery then, which is within the time scale they quoted at the time of ordering..
We shan't actually be over there until the middle of February, so I am hoping to find them waiting for me then! |

You can get a cheap 2Gb card for about £12 to £15 now and they seem to work fine in the TT systmes with the latest firmware. |

I am now in Florida trying to install my new USA Maps. I have renoved the Europe SD card and have put in a new 2GB card. I have run the DVD and it asks me a lot of questions about language etc, and I presume if I want all the states on I just highlight that box. Then the message came up that the hardware had not been installed properly and the two hands kept coming up across the TT with a cross across them. Can anyone tell me in simple language what I should do. Does it install direct fromm TT Home to the TT or do I have to use a card reader/writer. I am in a mess (again)
Thanks |

True... although I am sure that I remember reading under another topic that it is best to pay a bit more for a 'faster' card, rather than go for a 'bargain basement' one.
Some users have reported problems when using the cheapest cards, and have said that they can actually notice the effects of using a faster one. I am sure that a search will bring up some more information, but personally I will be buying something like a Transcend 2GB 150x card, costing around £22 or so. |

My downloaded maps were less than 1Gb, I contacted TT regarding the difference in map versions between the download & DVD ones they said they were "street for street & lake for lake" identical--so whats missing on the downloaded version I wonder?

see below, the amazon reseller modernkm posts out really fast, although my transcend card is slower in my TT at calculating routes over hundreds of miles, not noticable in daily use though.
